ABOUT
The museum collection is set in a 2 storey brick building built in the 1890's for the establishment of Bairnsdale's first college by the Presbyterian church. From early colonial cookware to gas stoves, the broad axe to the chainsaw, early style christening gowns to dresses of the 1960's, medical equipment from chemist to hospital, communications from telephones to cameras/photographs/negatives, honour boards and musical items, it provides a snapshot into the development and growth of Bairnsdale and the surrounding area and the lives of those who have lived here from the early days of settlement to the 1960's.
