ABOUT
The Golden Dragon Museum opened in 1991 to document, interpret and preserve the Chinese heritage in central Victoria. The Museum is home to the Heritage listed processional Dragon - Loong, the 1970 – 2019 processional Dragon - Sun Loong and the current processional Dragon – Dai Gum Loong . Also on display is an extensive Qing Dynasty collection of costumes and regalia, carved Imperial furniture and artefacts dating as far back as the Shang Dynasty 1600 -1046BC. The Museum precinct, Dai Gum San, also includes authentic Chinese gardens Yi Yuan and the Guan Yin Temple.
