The Museum is located inside the original Bank of New South Wales building C.1856. The original chamber is now used as a temporary exhibition space and upstairs is a re-created Managers quarters during the gold rush era 1856-1870.The Museum reflects European development during the height of the gold rush. Outdoor exhibits include original bluestone stables, servant's kitchen, laundry and Theaden Cottage. The Museum collection includes a wide variety of carriages and historical agricultural equipment. Within the permanent displays are some exquisite examples of arts and crafts. Both handmade and manufactured. There is a public program linked to all temporary exhibitions.
